Opportunities

ArtsMark

The Artsmark Award is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England. The programme aligns with School Improvement Plans and supports core EBACC and STEM priorities. It’s open to primary, secondary and special schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges.

Arts Award

Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible. It enables young people to deepen their engagement with the arts, build creative and leadership skills and achieve a national qualification. The award can be undertaken in many settings such as arts centres, colleges and schools, community projects, libraries, galleries, local authorities, theatres, youth clubs and youth justice settings. Find more detailed information on the Arts Award website

Nottingham's Cultural Rucksack

ChalleNGe is shaping a sustainable and progressive city-wide offer for all children and young people throughout their time at school, supporting schools and partners in their delivery of high quality creative and cultural learning in Nottingham. Read the school commitments and make the pledge to become a 'Cultural Rucksack School'.

We have published the first Cultural Rucksack A-Z Directory with details of 45 organisations and programmes for schools. The printed Directory was distributed to 132 schools in the city (primary, secondary and alternative provision) in 2023/24.

Our interactive pdf Wallplanner has links to Child Friendly Nottingham 'rights of the month' and highlights key cultural events and CPD for teachers.
